New iZ Website Launched

3.40 RADAR Just Released!

3.40 Software is here and is full of features designed to save RADAR users time and money. In addition to the revised and re-designed Operator's Manual, a few of 3.40's important new features include:

• Faster File Transfer. Project copy, backup/restore, and import/export times are all 50% faster.
• Universal Backups. RADAR can now flatten project files into BWAV format when backing up from a RADAR BWAV recording drive. Load BWAV files directly from the backup onto a DAW.
• Custom Names for Backup and Export Audio Files. Customize file-name formats to eliminate the time-consuming process of re-naming files when transferring to a DAW.
• Blu-ray Support. RADAR is now Blu-ray ready! Speed up the backup process and archive larger projects to a single disk by backing up to Blu-ray's 25 or 50 GB disks. Blue-ray multi-drive upgrade required.

Blu-ray Upgrade Available for 3.40 RADAR Systems

RADAR can now be purchased or upgraded with the new Blu-ray multi-drive. Blu-ray is the next generation optical disc format that offers up to ten times the storage capacity of traditional DVDs - it can hold up to 25 GB on a single-layer disc and up to 50 GB on a dual-layer disc. With Blu-ray, RADAR users can speed up the backup process and conveniently archive larger projects on a single disk. The Blu-ray multi-drive also supports BD-RE, DVD-R, CD-R, and DVD-RAM.

Tech Tip - Clear Clipped Meters on the Fly

We all love the RADAR preference that lets us set the amount of time that clipped meters display on the Session Controller and/or RADARView. But how do you clear those clipped meter LEDs without interrupting the recording?

Just press and hold SHIFT while pressing CANCEL - this will clear clipped meters while in record or playback mode.
